Nestled in the rolling hills of Ventura County, Zava Ranch offers a serene farm stay experience just one hour drive from both Los Angeles (LAX) and Santa Barbara. This peaceful 20-acre property is surrounded by mature pepper trees, heritage oaks, and fragrant lemon and avocado orchards. Guests are invited to pick lemons, relax, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the charm of rustic elegance.

We have two places to stay:

A cute stand-alone cottage (sleeps 2) — one large room with a queen bed and sitting area, fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave) and a bathroom with a shower. Perfect for couples or solo travelers looking to unplug without venturing too far from the coast or city. Just like glamping in a tiny house with A/C, wi-fi, and all the modern conveniences. Whether stargazing, harvesting seasonal fruit, hiking, or simply enjoying the quiet, all of us need a restorative escape from everyday life.

For us, enjoying a farm stay in California means going on long walks in the countryside, indulging in avocado toast, making fresh-squeezed lemonade, eating oranges, grapefruit, tangerines right off the tree.
It also means breathing in the fresh air, and being surrounded by a unique combination of palms, pines, citrus, avocado and eucalyptus groves. Walking up the hill to take in the beautiful sunset on the rolling hills overlooking California farmland.
